7 Day Masai Mara & Amboseli Safari


This unforgettable Maasai Mara Safari takes you on a journey through the diverse landscapes of Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara National Reserve. Day 1 begins with a drive to Amboseli, where you’ll be greeted with the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the huge herds of elephants that call Amboseli home.

On day 3, we depart for Lake Naivasha, where you’ll explore the lake on a boat safari destined to dock at Crescent Island where we shall endulge in a walking safari alongside various wildlife. On day 4, we leave for Masai Mara National Reserve, where you’ll witness the incredible Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras. Marvel at the big cats – lions, leopards and cheetahs – as they hunt on the savannah.

In Masai Mara, we will have the opportunity to visit a Maasai village and learn about their unique culture and customs. Throughout the tour, you’ll stay at comfortable lodges or camps with all the necessary amenities. The memories from this journey will surely last a lifetime.

This itinerary can be crafted to include chartered flights upon request to easily connect the Masai Mara and Amboseli National Park for more game viewing time with lesser drive time on transfers.


Day 1 : Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Early morning after your breakfast, our guide will pick you up at 7:00am from your hotel in Nairobi to transfer to Amboseli National Park. You will be briefed first upon our 6 – day trip then embark a drive south through scenic views of the Nairobi Suburbs to Amboseli.

Upon arrival to the park, we enjoy an enroute game drive to our booked accommodation to check in for lunch and a relaxation shortly after which we head out for our evening game drive. Amboseli is a home to various wildlife species to include: lions, cheetahs, Leopards, rhinos and abundant bird species among other wildlilife species.

After the delightful experience, we return to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 : Full Day Amboseli National Park Game Drives

Today we enjoy a full day game viewing experience in Amboseli National Park. Amboseli covers lush grasslands fed by the melting snow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Standing at 5896m above sea level the snow-topped mountain forms the backdrop to game viewing.

Amboseli National Park hosts some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds and is famous for its big elephant bulls with their impressive tusks. The Game Park also contains huge populations of buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos and various antelope species, such as impala. Amboseli Park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, jackals, warthogs and various other wildlife and bird species

Day 3 : Amboseli to Lake Naivasha, Afternoon Boat Safari and Crescent Island Walking Tour

Early morning after your breakfast, we will say goodbye to Amboseli then embark a drive through Nairobi to Lake Naivasha. This drive takes us back to Nairobi with an enroute stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point for photography shortly after which we will continue our journey to Naivasha.

The drive further takes us through parallel scenic views of the Great Rift Valley to arrive to our booked accommodation in time for lunch and relaxation upon checking in. This afternoon we visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. Crescent Island hosts grazers like the Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Grants Gazelle, Common Waterbuck and Buffalo.

After the amazing experience we return to accommodation dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 : Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning after your breakfast, we say goodbye to Lake Naivasha to embark on a drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy yet another scenic drive through the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley before arriving to our booked accommodation to check in just in time for lunch and relaxation at camp. We later head out for an evening game drive.

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, and arguably its best. The park is dominated by open grassland, interspersed with rocky hills, acacia woodland, and riparian forest. Mara Mara is rewarding not just for predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah but for spotted hyena, bat-eared fox, and blackbacked jackal as well.

Elephant and buffalo are common, and a number of black rhinos still survive. Other ungulates include impala, eland, and reedbuck. A checklist of 450-plus birds includes raptors and ground birds such as ostrich and ground hornbill.

At sun dawn we take advantage of the photographic moment then return to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day Masai Mara wildlife Activities (Game Drives)

The next 2 days are spent game viewing in Kenya’s leading Masai Mara National Reserve. We will embark on two game drives; in the morning game drive and the Evening game drive with an option to carry picnic breakfast to spend the entire morning out in the wild. Alternatively, we can choose head out early to later return to accommodation for late breakfast and stay for the lunch shortly after which we head back to search for the big five and other wildlife species. Wildlife species in Masai Mara include: the Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, jackals, spotted hyenas, topi, impala, Hartebeests, nat eared foxes, the crocodiles and hippopotamus of the Mara and Talek Rivers among others
We will have a full day to track the resident wildlife in Masai Mara National Reserve. After the thrilling day of magnificent game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve, we retire at our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay

Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara wildlife Activities (Game Drives)

This is yet another full day experience in the Mara, early morning after with our breakfast; we will embark on another series of game drives in other conservancies of Maasai Mara. www.masaimaraafrica.com It is guaranteed that wherever you go in the Mara, there is a different scenery and abundant wildlife to include the Masai giraffe, baboons, topis, Zebras, Wildebeest, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, hartebeests, buffaloes, hippopotamus, crocodiles, cheetahs, the big five and so much more. After this thrilling day of magnificent wildlife activities in the Masai Mara, we head back to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi

This morning  after our breakfast, we check out of our accommodation and drive back to Nairobi with an anenroute game drive as we exit the park. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
